Why were we asked for help?

With over a decade on the market, our client has become a key player in its industry. The company has built a reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction.

They were looking for a trusted partner with the relevant experience and technology know-how to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience. They also wanted to introduce new functionalities like commerce, order management system (OMS), warehouse management system (WMS), customer service, collecting and packing of products, and logistics.

How did we tackle the tech?

Discovery phase

The entire project consisted of several phases during which we iteratively worked on gathering the business requirements and planned the development process. We built a team of expert developers responsible for finding the most suitable technology that would allow personalization and be the best fit for the client. 


During the project’s discovery stage, we held a series of in-depth workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business goals, customer needs, and existing challenges. This involved mapping out current user journeys, identifying pain points, and collecting requirements for the new solution. What mattered most was to build a platform using enterprise-grade technologies that would be able to match the long-term business aspirations of the client

Picking the right technology

After workshops with our development team, we decided that the best technology to use was VTEX – a complete solution ideal for increasing fulfilment efficiency, integrating multiple channels, and creating new revenue streams. The solution was a perfect match to the requirements since it combines the functionalities of eCommerce, marketplace, and an OMS.

PoC development

During the development stage, we built a working proof of concept (PoC) that served as a demo for the client. Although the PoC wasn’t implemented or released to real-life customers, it was thoroughly tested internally with input from the client’s teams, which helped to further refine the solution. We fixed tech problems and ensured that our approach aligned with the client’s expectations. The successful PoC provided a clear vision for a full rollout, making everyone optimistic about the future.

What did we achieve?

Our work concluded in a working PoC that was presented to the client, showcasing what could be achieved and how it could be transformed into a minimum viable product (MVP) and later a fully-fledged product. The solution has been equipped with the following features:  

  • Integration with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems – a seamless integration with existing inventory and OMSs.  
  • Omnichannel management – smooth management of online and offline sales 
  • Offer personalization – the ability to create personalized offers for customers based on their previous purchases and preferences.  
  • Logistics management – supporting and optimizing the delivery process, especially for large-scale operations.  
  • B2C and B2B functionality – allowing different pricing and customer segmentation.  

Our collaboration was a rewarding experience where we combined our technical expertise with the VTEX platform to build a robust PoC.

On our end, we enjoyed working in a supportive and collaborative environment where we could innovate, suggest custom solutions, and refine the platform while maintaining a strong level of trust and open communication with the client.
